The Development Corporation of Stamford (DCOS) is dedicated to supporting business growth, job creation, and economic development in the community.

DCOS works with new and existing businesses by providing guidance, resources, and assistance with planning and development.

The organization was established as a Type 4A Development Corporation and focuses on supporting manufacturing, industrial, and commercial projects that create primary jobs.

There is a strong and diverse business community in Stamford, supported by local events, organizations, and an active Chamber of Commerce.

Through the Development Corporation of Stamford (DCOS), the following programs may be available:

Small Business Grant Program
Provides funding to existing Stamford businesses to support growth, improvements, and operational needs. Grant amounts may vary based on the size of the business and number of employees.

Business Improvement Grant
Supports exterior and property improvements that enhance the appearance and functionality of commercial spaces within the city.

Business Retention & Expansion Program (BREP)
Designed to help existing businesses grow and expand, this program offers financial assistance and resources to strengthen long-term success and job creation.

Tourism Event Grant
Provides funding for events that promote tourism and bring visitors to Stamford, supporting local businesses and community engagement.
