The City of Stamford offers a variety of parks and recreational spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. From neighborhood parks to lakes and outdoor amenities, these spaces provide opportunities for relaxation, recreation, and community gatherings.
Local Parks
Stamford’s local parks offer space to play, gather, and enjoy the outdoors.
Harmon Park
Harmon Park is a popular community park featuring walking paths, open green space, playground areas, and shaded spots for relaxing. The park also includes a walking loop and amenities for outdoor activities.
Washington Park
Washington Park provides additional space for recreation, including areas for children to play and facilities for community use. The City continues to invest in improvements to enhance the park experience.

lakes & outdoor recreation
Stamford is home to two lakes that provide opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Lake Stamford
Located about 10 miles northeast of the city, Lake Stamford is a large reservoir used for both water supply and recreation. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities.
College Lake
College Lake is located on the east side of Stamford and offers a smaller, more relaxed setting. It’s a great spot for fishing, kayaking, or enjoying time outdoors.
Aquatic Facilities
The Stamford City Pool provides a place for residents to cool off and enjoy the summer months.
Location: 110 W Hamilton St. in Stamford, near the High School baseball field
The pool is open with free admission Wednesdays - Saturdays 1-6 p.m. during the months of June-July.
Special events are also held throughout the pool season after hours.
